The O.ME.CO. SpA (Officine Meccaniche Corrado) was established in 1961
and is the continuation of the activities of its founder, Mr. Corrado Napoleoni (you can see him in the picture at the bottom left: the man with the hammer over his shoulder).
In 1928 Mr. Corrado Napoleoni commenced his co-operation with the first Italian dealer of Caterpillar.
Ten years later, i.e. in 1938, he opened his first workshop for the repair of industrial and agricultural machines that he managed all his life. Later on he was also involved with the sale of second-hand equipment and this became with time a significant part of his activities: this area had experienced a continuous growth.
O.ME.CO. SpA is one of the oldest companies in Italy, operating in the field of Earth Moving Machines. It is situated near the exit 4 (via Trionfale) of the Rome ring road motorway (GRA). It covers an area of 45.000 m2 and is the employer of 30 people. Still today it is a family owned business. It is Corrado’s sons: Adolfo, Piero, Enzo and Giancarlo, and grandchildren: Paolo, Maria, Andrea, Silvia, Federico, who ensure that the company will continue its operation in the future.
